Brocc – a Swedish-founded niche bank and one of Europe’s largest NPL acquirers – is on an exciting growth journey. They are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong experience in building modern, reliable, and scalable fintech platforms.
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Brocc, you will play a central role in designing and operating the AWS-based platform that enables product teams to move fast, operate reliably, and manage cost efficiently in a regulated financial environment. You will work with modern engineering patterns including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD design, automation, developer enablement, and FinOps.
You’ll join at a stage where much is still being shaped – giving you significant influence on everything from architecture and automation to developer experience, observability, data platform enablement, and security-by-design practices.
You will be based in central Stockholm and report to the CTO.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will have significant technical influence. You will help shape the direction of our infrastructure, tools, and processes – both strategically and practically.
Typical tasks include:
• Build and evolve Brocc’s core platform on AWS, designing for reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Treat infrastructure as a product and enable self-service models for development teams.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with high quality, clear controls, and fast feedback loops.
• Drive DevOps culture by enabling teams, reducing friction, and fostering modern development practices including AI-assisted development.
• Automate operational tasks and eliminate manual work wherever possible.
• Implement strong observability, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
• Support data-intensive workloads and integration with Snowflake and analytics environments.
• Drive FinOps practices and cost transparency across the platform.
• Ensure security and compliance are built into platform design.

Must-have experience:
• Proven experience designing and running cloud platforms on AWS in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code at scale.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps ways of working, and automation.
• Experience with monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with cost management/FinOps practices.
• Experience collaborating with development and data teams.
• Professional proficiency in English.
Meritorious:
• Experience in regulated industries or financial services.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Kanban.
• Swedish language skills.
