Do you combine strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the data center industry? Are you motivated by turning market intelligence, customer requirements and external best practices into clear recommendations that influence business development and investment decisions? atNorth is looking for a Strategy Manager to help shape the capabilities and priorities that support its continued growth.
This is an opportunity to shape a newly created role in a growing Nordic data center business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will bring an external perspective to how atNorth develops its business in a market shaped by AI, high-performance computing and changing hyperscaler demand.
The Role
As Strategy Manager within Development, you will translate market signals, competitor insights and customer expectations into recommendations for atNorth’s Development operating model and capability roadmap. Your analysis will support decisions on market attractiveness, expansion opportunities, investment priorities and the capabilities needed to compete.
You will report to Jonas Lückner, Head of Development Strategy & Transformation, and join a team of approximately eight internal and external contributors.
You will work closely with Development leadership and the transformation function, bringing evidence and an independent perspective to strategic discussions.
This is a senior individual contributor role with ownership of the analysis and its conclusions. You will influence direction and lead discussions across functions, while business owners and the transformation function take responsibility for day-to-day implementation.
Your key responsibilities as Strategy Manager:
- Track competitors, investment patterns, market footprints and delivery models, alongside hyperscaler demand and customer requirements.
- Assess market and country attractiveness, expansion opportunities, timing, constraints and strategic fit to support portfolio and investment decisions.
- Benchmark Development productivity, cost, delivery performance and capability maturity against relevant peers and other sectors.
- Identify relevant best practices in design, procurement, delivery, operating models and digital tools, and recommend where to build capabilities, buy external support or form partnerships.
- Challenge and validate capability maturity assessments using external evidence, and recommend changes to target levels and roadmap priorities.
- Build reliable intelligence sources and industry relationships, facilitate senior stakeholder workshops and produce clear executive recommendations. Develop and maintain the Development strategy presentation.
The role involves travel within the Nordics and occasionally internationally.
atNorth offers a growing international environment where you can influence strategic priorities and help develop the business’s capabilities. You will work with freedom and responsibility under a manager who sets direction and expected outcomes while giving you ownership of how to achieve them. The role offers close interaction with senior leadership and opportunities to build an international industry network.
Is this you?
You bring a strong strategic and analytical background, international experience and the ability to turn complex or incomplete information into clear recommendations for senior decision makers.
Your qualifications include:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in strategy, market intelligence, corporate development, portfolio strategy, benchmarking or strategic consulting.
- Experience in the data center industry or a closely connected supplier environment, with a solid understanding of data center development, market dynamics and hyperscaler requirements.

- A completed university degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Strategy or a related discipline.
- Professional proficiency in English and a Nordic language, and confidence working in a global environment.
