
Technical Lead to WANVE in Stockholm
Do you have a background in certification and conformity assessment and want to take on a key technical role in a growing international organization? WANVE Sweden is looking for a Technical Lead who will play a central role in establishing the company’s technical operations in Sweden and supporting its continued expansion in Europe.
This is an opportunity to join at an early stage, take significant technical responsibility and gradually build and lead the Swedish technical team.
WANVE is an international Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) group providing services within product certification, inspection, testing and regulatory compliance. Founded in China in 2005, the Group today operates through subsidiaries in China and several international markets across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America. WANVE Sweden was established in 2026 as part of the Group’s continued European expansion
The Role
WANVE Sweden is currently building its Swedish organization and is in the process of applying for accreditation through Swedac. As Technical Lead, your main priority during the first year will be to lead the technical work related to this accreditation process.
You will act as a senior technical authority within the Swedish organization and work with certification, technical evaluation, conformity assessment and regulatory compliance. You will also develop the technical procedures, methods and documentation required for accreditation and future certification activities.
In parallel, you will support ongoing customer and technical projects across WANVE Group and collaborate closely with colleagues within the Group and its European subsidiaries.
Once accreditation has been obtained, your role will increasingly focus on certification projects within WANVE Sweden’s accredited scope. As the Swedish operation grows, you will also gradually build, develop and lead the technical team, including future Technical Evaluators and Engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the technical work related to the Swedac accreditation process.
- Acting as a senior technical authority and providing technical guidance within the organization.
- Contributing to certification, technical evaluation, conformity assessment and regulatory compliance activities.
- Developing and maintaining technical procedures, methods and documentation.
- Supporting customer and technical projects across WANVE Group.
- Collaborating with European subsidiaries and the wider international organization on technical and certification-related matters.
- Gradually building and leading the technical team in Sweden.
The position is based at the Swedish office in Älvsjö, Stockholm. The company offers a flexible hybrid arrangement, with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week.

Is this you?
We are looking for an experienced technical professional with a background in certification and conformity assessment. You are comfortable taking responsibility for technical matters, working independently and acting as a senior technical authority.
To be successful in the role, we believe you have:
- At least three years of experience working within a Notified Body.
- At least three years of experience in a technical role such as Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Technical Responsible or equivalent.
- Experience with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and/or EU Battery Regulation
- Solid experience within certification and conformity assessment.
- Experience working with relevant EU regulations, directives and/or certification schemes.
- The ability to operate independently in a senior technical capacity and take ownership of technical matters.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Previous experience of participating in or supporting an accreditation process is considered an advantage. A relevant university degree within engineering, technology or a related technical field is also beneficial. Experience from a senior technical or leadership role within the TIC/certification industry, as well as experience working in an international organization, is considered meritorious. Swedish language skills are also an meritorious.
