Net Entertainment is looking for an Application Engineer

Net Entertainment is a company growing fast and we are in need of strengthening our organization with new co-workers. At the moment we are looking for strong individuals, who want to work in our Release Team. This role will be planning the customer production and test environment upgrades, including communication, build and configuration, test and deploy.

The Role

You will develop and maintain supportingscripts etc. for build and deploy to distributed environments. You will also participate and support customer integrations and enhancements and continuously achieve and improve competence on new and changed Casino products to be included in the service.

You will contribute to improvements in automation and processes in order to improve quality and stability. Cross functional cooperation with other departments e.g. specification of nonfunctional requirements in a project prestudy phase will be a responsibility in this role. Documentation of customer configuration for release and deployment use will be an important task and activity in the changemanagement process both as requestor and technician.

Experience, education and personality

You have 1-2 years of experience from an employment within an operations department. A higher education is valued, but not required. You have experience of working with build, configuration and deploy of software in complex operational environments. Fluency in English, both spoken and written is required. It is desirable if you are experienced in:

• UNIX based OS
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Sun Java System Application Server
• Web Services (WSDL/SOAP) interface integrations
• Basic knowledge in scripting
• Basic understanding of Java code
• Experience of 2nd or 3rd Line application support of business critical systems in a distributed environment
• Experience of ITIL

You have the ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations. Your social skills are excellent and you are a team player.
