The Role
KPMG Sweden is seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Technology Specialist to join the Tax Transformation team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in tax technology and data management to support clients in developing and implementing innovative tax solutions. You will play a critical role in building out our practice to support our client in shaping their tax data strategy, creating tax technology roadmaps, and guiding them through vendor selections. Is this you?
We are seeking a professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or an equivalent designation are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have more than five years of hands-on experience in tax technology, data management, or a related role, preferably gained within leading consulting firms—such as the Big Four—or multinational corporations. A proven track record in leading and implementing tax technology or data management solutions is considered a strong advantage.
A solid understanding of tax data management and compliance processes, along with familiarity with tax technology platforms, is essential. This includes experience with data analytics tools, data lakes, data warehouses, and data engineering platforms such as Databricks, as well as tax provision and compliance software. The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills and possess a deep understanding of financial data, accounting systems, and financial operations.
We value individuals who are passionate about driving digital transformation in finance and tax, and who bring a forward-thinking mindset with a willingness to challenge established processes in order to foster innovation. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role. Moreover, the ability to identify and act upon new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams is essential.
