As we are expanding, we are seeking an experienced Group Commercial Manager to oversee our commercial strategy across various business units.
The Role
The Group Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and ensure financial sustainability. You will lead financial planning, analyze business performance, and manage key commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with the Group's strategic goals.
In this role, you will be expected to manage high-level strategic planning while overseeing day-to-day commercial activities. Your key responsibilities include:
Additionally, you will conduct financial modeling to assess the feasibility of new projects and business opportunities, providing insights that guide strategic decisions. You will collaborate closely with business unit managers to drive financial performance and efficiency, ensuring all contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget.
Part of your role will involve resolving any commercial issues that arise, ensuring stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations. You will also work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support customer relationship management and ensure the company’s commercial strategy is aligned with customer needs.
Moreover, you will be responsible for preparing board reports and presentations that reflect the company’s commercial performance and strategic direction, providing senior leadership with the necessary insights to make informed decisions.
You will also engage with suppliers to assess operating cost assumptions for major projects, such as the Vittangi Anode Project, as well as other projects and develop pricing tools and templates to accommodate different products, order sizes, and customer needs. In addition, you will serve as the financial point of contact for Independent Technical Experts, managing the financial sections of their reports and contributing to the development of group-wide procurement processes.
Is this you?
The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of commercial management experience, ideally within a multi-business or group environment. You should possess a strong financial background, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Demonstrated experience in managing high-value contracts, negotiations, and leading teams is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree or MBA being highly advantageous.
