Senior Business Controller, atNorth

Do you have experience from financial advisory or Business Control? At atNorth, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Controller to join our Finance team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing scale-up company.

atNorth is a leading Nordic data center services company that offers sustainable, cost effective and scalable high-performance computing across Iceland, Sweden and Finland. The company operates seven data centers in strategic locations across the Nordics, with two more to open during the year to come.

The Role

As Business Controller at atNorth you will be a part of the Business control team and work as a strategic business partner cross-functionally to support data driven decision making. Business Control is an essential part of our organization and the team manages financial planning and analysis, builds investment cases for new sites, mergers and acquisition and sale-leaseback, manages financing and liquidity, ensures profitable pricing of our products and prepares stakeholder communications.

We are now looking for an experienced player to join our team as we take the next step in our fast paced journey. This is a senior position because we want your experience to make us better. With us you can expect to work closely with the business. Some of your most important tasks will involve building financial models to drive decision making, support pricing of our built capacity and work with our sales team in pricing relative to the demands of the largest corporations in the world.

As a Business Controller, you will have a meaningful impact on our financial strategy and be a strong contributor to our continuous growth. We assure you with us you will never get bored as through our scale up you may expect to find yourself neck deep in various projects, but rest assure, they will all include important analysis and calculations to drive decision making to further our growth!

Is this you?

To be successful in this position we see that you have a master’s degree in the field of finance or financial engineering, 5+ years’ experience in building financial models and conducting business analysis either from a similar role or from an advisory service. If you are not familiar with the datacenter industry, an experience from commercial real estate, leasing or the construction industry would be a plus as well as any industry connected to infrastructure investments.

As a person you are analytical, results-driven, and independent in your way of working. You take initiative to drive your work forwards and possess great communicative skills while having the experience of navigating stakeholders on different levels, as well as gathering and presenting information effectively. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven by having an impactful roll. Due to the rapid growth we are experiencing, it is important that you are not only stress resistant but also have a dynamic and flexible way of working as circumstances and needs can change quickly.
